Uptime monitoring built into your analytics

Rather than managing a separate uptime tool and a separate analytics tool, GhostlyX brings both into one dashboard. You can see your site's availability history alongside your traffic data, making it easy to correlate downtime incidents with drops in visitor numbers.

Each uptime monitor performs an HTTP check against the URL you specify. If the check returns a non-200 status code or times out, GhostlyX registers the incident and sends an alert immediately. A recovery notification is sent when the site comes back up.

Check intervals and the number of monitors available depend on your plan. The Scale plan supports up to 50 monitors with 1-minute check intervals.

HTTP and HTTPS monitoring

Checks your URL over HTTP or HTTPS and verifies the response status code.

Instant downtime alerts

An email notification is sent the moment a check fails, with the URL, timestamp, and HTTP status returned.

Recovery notifications

When your site comes back online, GhostlyX sends a recovery confirmation so you know the incident is resolved.

Response time tracking

Each check records the response time. You can view response time trends over days and weeks to spot degradation before it becomes an outage.

Availability percentage

Your uptime dashboard shows availability as a percentage over the last 7, 30, and 90 days.

Multiple monitors per account

Monitor your main domain, your API endpoint, and any other critical URLs independently.

Frequently asked questions

What is website uptime monitoring?

Website uptime monitoring is an automated process that sends HTTP requests to your site at regular intervals and alerts you if the site fails to respond correctly. GhostlyX uptime monitoring checks your URL every 1 to 5 minutes depending on your plan, and sends an immediate email alert when a check fails three times in a row.

How often does GhostlyX check my site?

Check frequency depends on your plan. The Business plan checks every 5 minutes. The Scale plan supports 1-minute intervals. Both plans send instant alerts when a check fails.

How many monitors can I set up?

The Business plan includes 10 uptime monitors. The Scale plan includes 50 monitors. Each monitor tracks one URL independently.

What counts as downtime?

A check is considered failed if the HTTP response status is not in the 200 range, or if the check times out after 30 seconds. Three consecutive failed checks must occur before an alert is sent, to avoid false positives from transient network issues.

Will I get alerted for every single failed check?

No. To reduce false positives, GhostlyX requires three consecutive failed checks before triggering a downtime alert. Once downtime is confirmed, a single alert is sent. You will not receive repeated alerts for the same incident.

Can I monitor pages that require authentication?

Uptime monitoring performs unauthenticated HTTP checks. It is best suited for monitoring publicly accessible URLs such as your homepage, health check endpoint, or status page.

Does uptime monitoring work alongside analytics?

Yes. GhostlyX combines uptime monitoring and analytics in one dashboard. You can see your availability history alongside your traffic data, making it easy to correlate downtime incidents with drops in visitor numbers without switching between tools.
