Frequently asked questions

What is a scheduled analytics email report?

A scheduled analytics email report is an automated digest delivered to your inbox on a recurring cadence (weekly, monthly, or both) that summarises your site traffic without requiring you to log in to your dashboard. GhostlyX email reports include total pageviews, unique visitors, top pages, top referrers, and a period-over-period comparison.

Can I choose weekly, monthly, or both?

Yes. Each site on your account has independent report settings. You can enable weekly reports, monthly reports, or both for each site, and disable them at any time from your site settings.

Who receives the email reports?

By default, reports are sent to the account owner. Team members with access to a site can also opt in to receive reports for that specific site from their notification preferences.

What does a traffic spike alert include?

The alert email tells you which site triggered it, the current visitor count, and the primary referrer driving the spike. This lets you act immediately, whether that means checking your server capacity or engaging with the audience on that platform.

Can I set the threshold for spike alerts myself?

Yes. The sensitivity of spike detection can be adjusted in your site notification settings. You can set a specific visitor threshold or use the automatic baseline detection which adapts to your site's normal traffic pattern.

Are email reports available on all plans?

Scheduled email digests are available on all paid plans. Traffic spike alerts are available on Business and Scale plans. Check the pricing page for a full feature comparison.

Can I stop receiving email reports without deleting my account?

Yes. Every report email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also toggle reports off per site from your notification settings at any time.
